NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (Oct. 29) - Senior
Ivette Mejia set a school record in the 6K-run with a time of 22 minutes, 33 seconds to win the race by 70 seconds, as she repeated as league champion at the 2011 Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships, hosted by Westminster.
As a whole, the Saint Vincent College women's cross country team finished fifth in the standings with 120 points. Grove City won its 23rd-straight conference title, finishing with 38 points behind four top-ten finishers. Waynesburg claimed second place with 83 points while Westminster and Geneva finished just ahead of Saint Vincent with 103 and 113 points, respectively.
Mejia earned the school record by topping her closest competitor by more than a minute to earn PAC MVP laurels for a consecutive season. Sophomore
Genie Fratto earned All-PAC Second-Team recognition for her 13th-place finish with a time of 25:23.

Rachael Paszko was the third finisher for the Bearcats, posting a time of 26:56 to finish in 35th place. Senior
Crystal Sherlock finished four seconds later to cross the finish line in 37th place.

Natalie Wolff was the final scorer for SVC, ending the race in 44th place with a time of 27:24. Sophomore
Kayla Kuntz finished sixth for the Bearcats with a time of 27:53, good for 51st place.
SVC returns to action in two weeks, Saturday, Nov. 12, traveling to Center Valley, Pa., to take part in the NCAA Regional race.
