CENTER VALLEY, Pa. (Nov. 12) - Senior
Ivette Mejia qualified for the NCAA Division III National Championships as she finished in ninth place at the Mideast Regional Championships hosted by DeSales.
As a team, the Bearcats finished 27th of 47 complete teams. Johns Hopkins won the team championship with three finishers among the top 10. Dickinson was second behind the individual champion, sophomore Taylor Ludman.
Mejia, the two-time defending-PAC Champion and Runner of the Year, crossed the finish line in 22:48, 16 seconds behind Ludman to qualify for the national championships for the first time in her career.

Genie Fratto finished second for the Bearcats and 86th overall with a time of 25:15. Classmate
Rachael Paszko was the third SVC runner to finish and 167th runner overall with a time of 26:27.
Seniors
Natalie Wolff and
Crystal Sherlock closed out the scoring for the Bearcats with 199th and 205th-place finishes with times of 27:09 and 27:15, respectively.
Sophomore
Kayla Kuntz and junior
Gloria Bullock rounded out the competitors for SVC finishing 243rd and 270th, respectively, with times of 28:10 and 29:23.
Mejia now advances to the Division III Championships next weekend, Nov. 19, hosted at the Lake Breeze Golf Course in Winneconne, Wisc.
