Competing in just a handful of events, the Saint Vincent track team finished sixth in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships.
SVC ended with 47 points, while Westminster College took first place with 129.
Kevin Wanichko took first place in the 1500 with a time of 4:01.75. Wanichko was also part of a third-place 4x400 Relay team, which included
Luke D'Amico,
John Joseph and
Shane Sweeney. The team's time of 3:23.43 was an ECAC qualifying time.
D'Amico finished third in the 400, timed in 50.46, while
Chansler Poole took third place in the 1500, with a time of 4:03.24.
Shane Sweeney captured fourth in the 400 IM Hurdles, lowering his own school record to 57.11. Wanichko also earned 4th place points in the 800 meters (2:01.33), while
Ryan Barlow was fourth in the 5000, timed in 15:37.74.
Jeff Hite ran the 10,000 meters, finishing fourth in 33:44.19, while Luke Briola was 6th in a personal best time of 34:35.94.
Up next for SVC will be the Gator Invitational, hosted by Allegheny College, on May 13.
