For the second consecutive year, the Saint Vincent College women's swimming team has been named a Scholar All-American Team by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.
The CSCAA gives the honors to teams who achieve a combined grade-point average of 3.0 or higher. With a team GPA of 3.49, head coach
Josh Gurekovich's Bearcats placed 13th in the nation at the NCAA Division-III level. A total of 91 schools earned the honor.
The CSCAA award marks the second time in weeks that the Bearcat swimmers were recognized for their academic achievements, as The Presidents' Athletic Conference placed six members of the SVC women's swimming squad (
Meredith Brown,
Katie Custer,
Christine Dunleavy,
Maggie Dempsey, Caitlyn Dempsey, and
Alexis Milinski) on its Academic Honor Roll, which honors student-athletes who attain a GPA of 3.60 or higher during their season of competition.
