Cline wins, Bearcats 2nd in PAC Fall Championship

FINAL RESULTS

Sam Cline shot a three-over-par 145 to lead all individual golfers, and the Bearcat men finished second in the two-day Presidents' Athletic Conference fall tournament.

Cline shot a 68 on the opening day Par 71, 6,563 yard Oak Tree Country Club course in West Middlesex, then shot a 77 on the second day, but held on for a two-stroke win over Thiel's Bryan Smith.

In fourth overall was SVC's Brett Cox, who shot 71-79 (150).

Derek Lingafelt, Micah Markantone and Matt Bryan rounded out the lineup for Saint Vincent, each finishing at 156 for the two-day event.

As a team, SVC's 605 (top four scores are used) was just five strokes back of Washington & Jefferson, while Thiel College finished third at 618.  Westminster, Grove City, Thomas More, Bethany and Waynesburg round out the field.

The 2011-2012 PAC Men's Golf Championship is determined by a total of four rounds - two in the fall and two in the spring.  The fall tournament will wrap up on Tuesday morning at Oak Tree.
