Nemanic honored as PAC Player of the Week

GREENVILLE, Pa. (March 25) - After going 2-0 to help the Bearcats remain unbeaten in league play, junior Anthony Nemanic has been named the Presidents' Athletic Conference men's tennis Player of the Week.

A native of Greensburg, Pa., and a graduate of Hempfield Area High School, Nemanic won both of his contests against Thiel as the Bearcats blanked the Tomcats, 9-0.

The junior posted an 8-2 victory at first doubles while paired with reigning PAC Player of the Week David Cenkner, and cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 victory at third singles.

In three matches against NCAA Division III opponents this season, Nemanic has gone 6-0 combined between singles and doubles and has dropped just seven singles games and 10 games at doubles.

Nemanic and the Bearcats are scheduled to return to the court on Wednesday, March 27, traveling to New Wilmington, Pa., for a 3:30 p.m. meeting with Westminster.
