At the Saint Francis Fr. Bede Invitational on Friday in Tyrone, senior Tim Patterson placed third overall in a field of 106 runners from all three NCAA classifications with a 6-kilometer time of 19:25. He was the first Division III finisher in the race, while he turned in the fastest closing stretch in the field, covering the final two kilometers in a tidy 6:21. Patterson was one of four Bearcats to place in the top-30, as SVC finished with 98 points to take third behind only Duquesne and Indiana (Pa.).
