Saint Vincent sophomore Shawn McSwiggen helped lead the Bearcats to a 3-2 victory in their season-opener over Division II Lees-McRae. The outside hitter led both sides with 18 kills, while adding a team-high 15 digs along with three blocks. McSwiggen hit a solid .250 in the victory, committing just six errors with the 15 kills on 48 swings.
