At the Washington and Lee Carnival, Saint Vincent freshman  P.J. McNeal excelled in the sprinting events. His top effort of the weekend came in the 400-meter dash, where he placed second in a 31-runner field in a time of 50.31 seconds, the second-fastest performance in program history. McNeal followed that up by placing eighth in a 61-runner field in the 200-meter dash in 22.91 seconds, also the second-best mark in team history, while he took 14th in a 41-runner field in the 100 meter dash in 11.45 seconds.
