Saint Vincent junior Tayler McNeal averaged 16.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and shot 57 percent from the field over the Bearcats' 3-0 week to open the season. In the Bearcats' opener, an 81-61 win over Penn State-Shenango, McNeal scored 17 points, to go with five rebounds and three assists. Two nights later against Juniata, McNeal scored 16 points, with five rebounds and two steals as the Bearcats came back from an 18-point second half deficit to win, 73-67, in overtime. McNeal's layup at the second half buzzer tied the game at 63 and sent it into the extra session, before his long three-pointer with under a minute left in overtime sealed the victory. He would then close his week with a 17-point, 4-rebound, 3-assist performance in a 69-56 victory over Carlow.Â
