Saint Vincent junior Emily Cavacini had a big week to lead the SVC women to a pair of wins, stretching the team’s winning streak to seven games. In Wednesday’s victory over Franciscan, Cavacini scored 16 points, with six rebounds and six assists. Three days later, in an 88-63 win over Geneva, Cavacini erupted for a career-high 30 points, going 11-for-19 from the field, 4-for-6 from behind the arc and 4-fof-4 from the foul line, while adding eight rebounds, two assists and two steals. It was the highest single-game scoring output for a Bearcat since Madison Kollar scored 32 in a Feb. 2020 matchup against Chatham. Over the two games, Cavacini averaged 23.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists, while shooting 52 percent from the field (17-for-33) and 47 percent from behind the arc (8-for-17). Â
