Keith Harmon

  • Title
    Head Men's Soccer Coach
Keith Harmon is entering his 18th season at the helm of the Bearcat men's soccer team in 2015, and has established a top-notch program during his tenure, both on the field and in the classroom.  The winningest coach in the history of SVC men's soccer, he has accumulated 109 wins through the 2014 season.  The coach enjoyed a banner season in 2005, as he led the Bearcats to the NAIA Region IX semifinals, before falling to eventual NAIA National Champion Rio Grande University.  He has mentored over 30 players who received All-Conference accolades, including 2006 graduate Dave Suski, who graduated as the school's all-time leading scorer and was named the program's first NAIA All-American in 23 years.  Academically, Harmon's teams have placed numerous players on the Presidents' Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll dating back to the 2006 season.

Harmon was also the head coach of the Lady Bearcat soccer program from 1999-2007, tallying a cumulative record of 80-73-10.  His women's team reached double-digits in wins five times during his tenure, and qualified for the NAIA American Mideast Conference playoffs four times over the span, and earned a trip to the ECAC playoffs in 2006.  The program produced its first two All-Americans under Harmon's guidance - midfielders Christine Basilone and Erin Mannella- as well as the only two players in program history to graduate with over 100 points, including 2004 grad Julie Gongaware and '09 grad Kylie Simonini.

A native of New Eagle, PA and graduate of Monongahela (now Ringgold) High School, Harmon attended Lock Haven University, where he was a three-year letterwinner on the soccer field for the Bald Eagles.  He later coached in the Mon Valley at the youth and cup levels, as well as at Ringgold, while serving as a referee in the USSF and WPIAL high school ranks.  He currently holds a USSF Class C coaching license.
