NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (Oct. 1) - The Saint Vincent women's soccer team opened up Presidents' Athletic Conference action with a 1-0 loss at Westminster. The hosts scored with just 23 seconds remaining to earn the victory in the first league match of the season for both teams.
After a tight defensive battle that looked to be headed to overtime, Westminster's Samantha Killmeyer broke the scoreless tie with 23 seconds remaining.
The Titans out-shot the Bearcats, 18-7, for the contest and held a 2-0 edge on corner kicks. Junior

SVC drops to 4-5-1 overall this season and 0-1-0 in league action, while Westminster improves to 3-6-1 on the season and 1-0-0 in PAC play.
The Bearcats continue PAC play on Wednesday, Oct. 5, when they host Geneva for a 4 p.m. match on the SVC Turf.
