LATROBE (Oct. 5) - The Saint Vincent women's soccer team earned its first Presidents' Athletic Conference victory of the season, defeating Geneva College by a score of 1-0 on the SVC Turf.
Sophomore
Monika Derboghossian recorded her first goal of the season just 12:23 into the match off an assist from senior
Carly Duffy to give the Bearcats the lead, and eventually, the win.
For the game, SVC held a 12-3 edge on shots, including seven in the first half. After posting six corner kicks in the first 15 minutes, the Bearcats held an 8-2 edge on corners for the game. Derboghossian led all players with three shots (all on goal) in the contest, while junior

Senior
Kirstie Mills posted her 20th-career win and 14th-career shutout on the afternoon, making three saves in 90 minutes. Her season goals-against average now sits at 1.36.
SVC improves to 5-5-1 on the season and 1-1-0 in PAC action, while Geneva drops to 4-7-1 and 1-1-0 in conference play.
The Bearcats return to action on Sunday, Oct. 9, when they host Washington & Jefferson in a 3 p.m. match on Homecoming weekend.
