BOX SCORE

The hosts scored four goals in the first half as Penn State-Altoona defeated the Saint Vincent women's soccer team, 4-0, at Spring Run Stadium.

The Lions opened the scoring just over nine minutes in to the game, and continued to expand their lead at the 21:57, 31:41 and 38:46-marks.

PSU-Altoona out-shot the Bearcats, 14-2, with freshman Abbey Neish and sophomore Elyse Togliatti recording the only two shots for SVC. The Lions also held a 7-0 edge on corner kicks, with six coming in the second half.

SVC goalkeeper Kirstie Mills took the loss, making three saves in the defeat, while allowing all four goals. Sophomore Cassie Overly played the second half and was not forced to make a save as PSU-Altoona failed to record a shot on goal.

The Bearcats return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 21, hosting Muskingum (OH) at 4:30 p.m. on the SVC Turf.
