BOX SCORE
Sophomore
Tenesha Corrales scored her second goal of the season just under 11 minutes in to the game to propel the Saint Vincent women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory on the road against Juniata.
After receiving a pass from classmate
Elyse Togliatti, Corrales used some nifty footwork to get past her defender and hit a shot from the right side around 25 yards out that found the back of the net just under the crossbar.
After the Bearcats held a 9-6 edge on shots in the first half, the two teams finished tied with 12 shots apiece. Togliatti, classmate
Monika Derboghossian and freshman
Amie Dobracki paced SVC with a pair of shots each. The hosts held an 8-5 advantage on corner kicks for the game.
Senior
Kirstie Mills posted her second consecutive shutout and has now gone more than 230-straight minutes without allowing a goal. She also made seven saves en route to earning her fourth win of the season.
The Bearcats now improve to 4-3-1 on the season, while the Eagles fall to 3-4-1.
Saint Vincent returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 27 when they travel to Baldwin-Wallace (Ohio) for a 4:30 p.m. contest.
