CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. (Nov. 5) - The Saint Vincent women's soccer team was eliminated from the Presidents' Athletic Conference tournament with a 2-0 semifinal loss at No. 14 Thomas More.
The loss ends the Bearcats' season as 10-8-1 overall after posting a 5-3-1 record in the PAC. The contest marked Saint Vincent's first appearance in the conference tournament since becoming full-time members in 2010. The Saints, ranked No. 14 in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America Top 25 poll, improve to 16-1-2 after clinching the PAC's regular season title with a 9-0 mark in league play.
The hosts scored the eventual game-winner in the 25th minute when Olivia Huber recorded an unassisted goal. That was the only score of the first half, but Thomas More added an insurance goal by Emily Sanker off of a corner kick by Sam Work in the 61st minute.
For the game, SVC was held to just two shots and allowed 23. The Bearcats were also held without a corner kick as Thomas More held a 7-0 advantage in the stat.

Meghan Smith added the other shot for Saint Vincent.

Cassie Overly made six saves in 90 minutes in the loss.
