With the win, the Saint Vincent women's soccer team snaps a two-game losing skid and evens its record at 2-2 on the season. The loss was the first of the season for the Barons, who fall to 3-1 in 2013.
Smith tallied the unassisted goal 15:28 into the game to send SVC to an early lead and snap a scoring drought of more than 240 minutes, dating back to the second half of the season-opening 5-2 win over Penn State Altoona.
On the day, Smith led Saint Vincent, recording five of the team's eight shots on goal. Senior

Abbey Neish each recorded two shots, while four other Bearcats added a shot.
For the game, Franciscan held a slight 15-13 edge on shots, thanks to 11 second-half shots, while both teams took four corner kicks.
Overly earned her second win of the season after playing the full game and posting her first shutout of the season after registering six last season, tied for the second most in school history.
The Bearcats return to action on Friday, Sept. 13, traveling to Pittsburgh for a 2:30 p.m. meeting with La Roche as part of a men's and women's doubleheader.
