GREENVILLE, Pa. (Oct. 18) - Chey Ross scored off a rebound with 40 seconds left in overtime to give Thiel a 2-1 victory over the Saint Vincent women's soccer team.

After a scoreless first half, Thiel got on the scoreboard first, scoring on a penalty kick in the 59th minute. SVC responded a little more than 10 minutes later when senior defender Elly Colvin tallied her first goal of the season. Colvin's goal tied the match at 1-1 in the 73rd minute. Neither team could score the game-winner in regulation and the match headed to overtime. That was when Ross scored the game winner for the host Tomcats to give them the PAC victory.

The match was about as even as you would expect for an overtime contest, with SVC holding a slight 15-to-14 shot advantage in the contest. SVC recorded eight shots on net, compared to six for Thiel. Sophomore goalkeeper Meghan Lyden recorded four saves in the loss for Saint Vincent. Senior Abbey Neish and junior forward Meghan Smith joined Colvin as Bearcats who recorded multiple shots on goal. 

Saint Vincent returns to action when they host Geneva College on Wednesday, Oct. 22. Start time is scheduled for 3 p.m.
