BOX SCOREBETHANY, W.Va. (Oct. 25) - The Saint Vincent women's soccer team traveled to West Virginia and settled for a scoreless 0-0 tie in double overtime against Bethany in Presidents' Athletic Conference action.
The Bearcats and Bison played 90 minutes of regulation and two 10 minute overtime periods but neither squad could register a goal to gain the victory. Sophomore
Meghan Lyden played all 110 minutes in net, registering six saves for Saint Vincent. Junior forward
Meghan Smith totaled a match-high eight shots, while senior defender
Elly Colvin totaled six more for SVC. Freshman forward
Maggie Nelson tallied a match-high three shots on goal.Â
Saint Vincent totaled 30 shots to just 17 for Bethany. SVC held a 10-to-6 advantage in shots on goal. SVC held a 11 to 1 advantage in shots in the two overtime sessions.
SVC now enters the final week of the regular season with a 2-4-1 record in the PAC and a 2-13-1 mark overall. Bethany also sits at 2-4-1 in the conference and 5-10-1 overall.
The Bearcats host PAC unbeaten Grove City on Tuesday, Oct. 28 for a PAC match. Start time is slated for 3 p.m. at the SVC Turf.Â
