BOX SCOREWAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 31) - The Saint Vincent men's soccer team fell 3-1 at Waynesburg in Presidents' Athletic Conference action to close out the 2014 season.
Waynesburg got on the board first when Victor Browne scored in the 14th minute of action off a pass from Nick Brommer. The back and forth contest remained 1-0 until Waynesburg added a second goal in the 79th minute of action. However, the Bearcats refused to quit, answering back moments later in the 80th minute when sophomore
Scott Luthy tallied his sixth goal of the season to bring the Bearcats back within a goal. Senior midfielder
Brody Ruffner assisted the Luthy goal in his final match as a Bearcat. Unfortunately, the Bearcats couldn't score the equalizer and Waynesburg added a goal in the 88th minute to earn the victory.
The host Yellow Jackets (9-6-4, 5-2-1) outshot SVC 14-to-9 for the match. The Bearcats and Jackets were even at six shots apiece on goal, while SVC held a 5-to-4 advantage in corner kicks. Sophomore

Christian Trueax each recorded three shots to pace the SVC offensive attack. Senior goalkeeper
Eric Houghton got the start in his final Saint Vincent match, playing the first half before giving way to freshman
Sam Hayward. Hayward made three saves over the final 45 minutes of action.
Saint Vincent finished up the season 6-14 overall and 2-6 in the PAC.
