The Saint Vincent Athletic Department welcomes former Bearcat
Ashley Shasko, who has been named the head coach of the SVC women's soccer program.
Shasko, a 2007 graduate, was a four-year starter during her playing days, anchoring the defense for a team that had 39 wins and earned a berth in the American Mideast Conference playoffs three consecutive seasons (2003-05) followed by an ECAC playoff appearance in 2006.
She tallied three goals and 16 assists in her collegiate career, and played nearly 5,700 minutes over four seasons. Â She served as team captain for the Bearcats during both her junior and senior seasons.
After graduating from Slippery Rock University in 2010 with an MS in Sports Management, Shasko took the helm of the Greensburg Central Catholic high school girls' team, guiding them to four consecutive section championships. Â During her high school coaching career, Shasko has amassed a record of 81-9, earning two state championships and two WPIAL championships. Â Â
Shasko, a USSF "D" licensed coach, also worked with the Foothills Soccer Club from 2008-2010, and has worked for her family's business, Landstar Shasko Global Logistics.
