BOX SCOREPHOTO GALLERYLATROBE, Pa. (Sept. 24) - The Saint Vincent women's soccer team lost 1-0 to the Juniata College Eagles at the SVC Turf. The loss was the Bearcats (0-8-0) fifth straight by one goal. The win improved Juniata to 3-5-1 overall.
After a scoreless first half, the visiting Eagles scored the only goal of the match in the 63rd minute when Lauren Lock found the top left hand corner of the net to give her team the advantage. SVC dropped the match despite having a slight advantage in shots (13-to-12). Freshman
Lauren Czerwien registered three shots to lead Saint Vincent. Sophomore goalkeeper
Meghan Lyden stopped five shots in the loss. Juniata goalkeeper Kerry Leonard made four saves in the shutout victory.
Saint Vincent returns to action when they host Oberlin College (OH) on Tuesday, Sept. 30. Match time is set for 4 p.m.
