The SVC men's soccer team was unable to hold a 1-0 halftime, lead, ending its season with a 4-1 loss on the road at Geneva College.
Nick Gaudy got the Bearcats on the board in the 39th minute, as his shot caromed off a defender and into the net, giving SVC the 1-0 lead that they carried into halftime.
However, the second half became a physical contest, with four yellow cards and two red cards issued. Â In the 48th minute, a foul in the box resulted in a Geneva penalty kick that tied the game. Â In the 72nd minute, the Golden Tornadoes added to their lead, then scored on another penalty kick in the 80th minute before adding a fourth late goal.
Geneva tallied 22 shots on the day while SVC posted just five, two on goal.
The Bearcats finish the season with a record of 2-15-2, 1-6-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference.
