The Bearcats got off to a slow start, falling behind 5-0 by the end of the first quarter, and the team was never able to recover.
Down 6-0 in the second,
Brendon Masten got the visitors on the board with a man-up goal at the 11:08 mark. Goals by
Nick Pensyl and
Bryce Pasquariello cut the gap to 6-3 with 3:24 remaining in the half, but Transylvania tacked on another goal before the break, taking a 7-3 lead. Pensyl and Masten added second half goals, but Transylvania pulled away to a 12-5 win.
For the afternoon, the Bearcats had the advantage in ground balls (24-21) and faceoffs (11-9), but the Pioneers outshot SVC 44-24.
Greg Gonzalez took the loss in the net, registering 12 saves.
Saint Vincent ends the season with a record of 9-7.
