The Saint Vincent men's soccer team suffered a 5-1 loss to Washington & Jefferson College in Presidents' Athletic Conference contest on Senior Day.
Things started well for the Bearcats as senior
Josh Nagy scored off a rebound in the box in the 4th minute of play, giving SVC the initial lead of the contest.
However, that was short-lived as the Presidents answered back to tie it less than a minute later. W&J would tack on three more goals in the first half to lead 4-1 after 45 minutes. W&J would add another goal in the 76th minute to conclude the scoring.
W&J out-shot SVC by an 18-11 margin, including an 11-7 differential on goal. W&J attempted eight corner kicks to just two for Saint Vincent.
Freshman
Nick Bohn played all 90 minutes in net, making six saves in the loss.
With the loss, Saint Vincent fell to 2-14 overall and 1-6 in PAC matches. W&J improved to 5-7-2 overall and moved their league mark to 1-4-1.
Saint Vincent wraps up the 2016 season when they host first place Geneva College on Saturday, Oct. 29. Start time is set for 12 p.m.
