PITTSBURGH, Pa. (Sept. 11) - The Saint Vincent men's soccer lost to NAIA program Point Park University by a score of 6-0 at Highmark Stadium in Pittsburgh.
The host Pioneers scored first in the 15th on a goal by Alan Ramos and added another score in the 21st minute to take a 2-0 lead into the halftime break. Point Park doubled its lead to 4-0 after back-to-back goals in the 53rd and 55th minutes.
Ramos scored his second goal of the game in the 71st minute before the Pioneers closed the scoring with a goal in the 75th minute of action.
Point Park controlled the game, outshooting SVC by a 26-3 margin in the contest. PPU also held an 8-1 edge in corner kicks.

Zach D'Amico recorded two shots to pace the SVC offense. Sophomore goalkeeper
Nick Bohn tallied 10 saves in 90 minutes in net.
SVC drops to 1-3-1 overall while Point Park moves its record to 2-2.
The Bearcats travel to Pitt-Greensburg for a non-conference match on Wednesday, Sept. 13. The annual rivalry contest will be for the Westmoreland County Cup. Start time is slated for 4 p.m.
