Anthony Hogeback recorded 6 assists, becoming the school's all-time career leader in assists, in a 12-5 Bearcat win over visiting Washington & Jefferson College.

A strong second half surge helped Saint Vincent earns its school record 10th straight victory and improve to 13-3 overall and a perfect 9-0 in Ohio River Lacrosse Conference action.

The visiting Presidents sprinted out to an early 3-1 lead behind three goals from Ben Ward. However, Jon Succop and Ian Irvin recorded over the final five minutes of the first quarter to tie the game at 3-3 after 15 minutes of play.

Defense dominated the second quarter, as Stone Haberstroh registered the lone score of the period, helping SVC to a 4-3 halftime lead over W&J.

After a score by Ward helped the Presidents tie the score at 4-4 to open the third quarter, the Bearcats rattled off five consecutive goals to close the quarter with a 9-4 advantage. Jeremy Kennedy and Alex Mueser scored two each during the run, while Hogeback recorded assists on four of the five goals. Mueser would tack on all three four quarter goals to help SVC pull away for the decisive victory.

Hogeback paced the offense with six assists, helping him surpass the previous school record of 101, which was held by Will Delanoy (2009-12). Mueser added five points, while Kennedy and Ben Price tallied three each. Michael Grus put together a strong game on defense, picking up nine ground balls and causing three turnovers. Brandon Martin made 11 saves in 60 minutes of work in net for SVC.

Saint Vincent closes the regular season with an ORLC road matchup against Thiel College on Saturday, April 12. Start time is set 4 p.m.
