The Saint Vincent women's golf team finished in 24th place after three rounds, missing the cut at the NCAA Division III Golf Championship, taking place in Howey-In-The-Hills, Florida.
It is the team's first appearance in the tournament, the result of winning its first ever Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship.
The Bearcats shot a team score of 379 on the opening day of the multi-round event, taking place on the El Campeon Course at the Mission Inn Golf Club. They followed with a 407 score in the second round and a round of 375 on day three of the event.
Maddie Leya had the low score for the Bearcats in the opening round, shooting 90.
Meg Birmingham finished at 93, followed by
Sydney Ball (96),
Angela Bialas (100) and
Sara Norton (109). The teams competed under sunny skies with temperatures near 90 degrees.
On day two, Ball led the way with a 95, followed by Birmingham (101), Leya (105), Norton (106) and Bialas (113).
On the third and final day, Ball paced the Bearcats with an 85, which was the best round of the week by a Bearcat. Birmingham (93), Leya (94), Bialas (103) and Norton (118) rounded out the scoring.
The Top 15 teams advanced to the final round on Friday.
