HUNTINGDON, Pa. (Sept. 4) - Despite holding a 2-0 halftime lead, the Saint Vincent men's soccer team dropped a 3-2 decision to host Juniata College in non-conference action in Huntingdon County.
Things started well for Saint Vincent, who put together a strong first half against the Eagles. A pair of freshmen opened the scoring to help the Bearcats build a 2-0 advantage through the first 45 minutes.

Cory Northrup recorded an unassisted score in the 32nd minute.
The Eagles flipped the script in the second half, as they dominated ball possession. Juniata would register a pair of quick offensive strikes in the 53rd and 57th minutes to tie the match at 2-2. A little later, Juniata would find the back of the net in the 75th minute to take the lead for good. Wyatt Page played a role in all three scores for Juniata, as the junior recorded a goal and two assists to lift the hosts to victory.
Juniata held an 18-8 shot advantage, which included a decisive 12-2 edge in the second half. The Eagles attempted five corner kicks to just two for the Bearcats.

Nick Bohn played all 90 minutes in goal, making five saves in the loss. The loss drops SVC to 0-3 overall, while Juniata moves its record to 3-0.
Saint Vincent hosts La Roche College in the inaugural game at UPMC Field on Friday, Sept. 7.
