The SVC men's soccer game lost to visiting Waynesburg University by a score of 1-0, with the lone goal scored just over two minutes into overtime.

The Yellow Jackets held the advantage in the first half, outshooting the Bearcats by a 10-3 margin, but SVC keeper Zachary Gibbons made six saves in the first 45 minutes, keeping the game scoreless.

Nine minutes into the second half, a shot by Waynesburg's David Brown hit the post, but it was as close as either team would get to a goal during regulation.

After 90 minutes, the game remained scoreless, sending the teams into overtime.

Just over two minutes into the first overtime period, a header by Waynesburg was blocked by the Bearcats and went out of bounds, resulting in a corner kick.  Nate Kummer sent the kick into the box, where it was headed into the goal by Ryan Mills, lifting the visitors to the 1-0 victory.

For the game, Gibbons recorded 9 saves, as SVC was out-shot by a margin of 21-9.

The Bearcats fall to 1-3-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference, while Waynesburg improves to 1-2-3.  SVC is now 2-11-2 overall on the season.  The team returns to action on Saturday, October 26, facing Westminster College in a road game.
