Bearcats close first half of season with three wins



The SVC women's bowling team picked up three wins over visiting La Roche University, to finish the first half of the season with a record of 27-4.

The Bearcats won the first point, a traditional game, by a score of 719-641.  SVC then captured the final two points by winning both five-game Baker sets, by scores of 758-611 and 751-551.

Meghan Christman led the way in Baker play with a per-frame average of 17.26, or a game equivalent of 172.6.  She was followed by Jessica Guesman (17.12) and Kayla Grudinsky (16.12).

Saint Vincent still holds the highest winning percentage in the NCAA, now at .870.  The team will return to action on Saturday, January 11, traveling to Columbus, Ohio for the two-day Buckeye Baker Classic, hosted by Ohio State University.
