The Saint Vincent women's lacrosse team hit the road to Greenville, Pennsylvania to face the Thiel Tomcats in a non-conference matchup. The Bearcats fell on the road, 18-4.
Thiel (1-0) opened the game by scoring the first four goals.
Kaylee Bandow scored the first goal for Saint Vincent (1-1) with an assist from
Joey Smith.
Margaret Edwards followed with a goal of her own to cut the deficit in half (4-2).
The Tomcats scored the final four goals of the half to take an 8-2 lead going into the locker room.Â
Hannah-Marie Starner scored just 28 seconds into the second half off a pass from
Kaylee Bandow. Thiel responded with six-straight goals.
Bridget Doyle scored the final SVC goal of the night at the 12:10 mark. The Tomcats scored the final four goals to win by the 14-goal difference.
Saint Vincent travels to Washington & Jefferson on Saturday, March 20. Start time is 3 p.m.
