In their final regular season match of the season the Saint Vincent men's tennis team cruised to an 8-1 win against Waynesburg.
The Bearcats swept doubles play starting with an 8-0 win at third doubles followed up by an 8-3 win by Josh Boland and Sam Butler at second singles and an 8-4 win at the top spot.
Aaron Kuhn beat everyone off the court with a quick win at fifth singles, 6-3, 6-1, to put the Bearcats up 4-0. Evan Ray sealed the match at fourth singles with a straight sets win of his own, 6-2, 6-1.
In his collegiate debut, Brennen Novotney secured a 6-0, 7-5 victory at sixth singles. David Lynn rolled at first singles, 6-3, 6-0 and Mauricio Sánchez topped off the win for SVC with a 7-5, 6-2 win in the two hole.
With the victory Saint Vincent finishes the regular season with a 6-2 (4-2 PAC) record. The Bearcats will have a bye through the first round of the PAC tournament, returning to action on Friday, April 30 for the semi-final match at Washington & Jefferson College.
