The Saint Vincent men's bowling team finished 7th among 12 teams in an Ohio Bowling Conference tournament held at Wayne Webb's Columbus Bowl.
In traditional games,
Eddie Zuzak led the way with an 11th place finish among 120 bowlers, shooting a 595 series (198.3 average).
Michael Fekete was 33rd (180.3) and
Brandon Dunmire was 40th, averaging 178.
Anthony Strickland shot a team-best 249 in the first game, the third highest among all bowlers for the afternoon. As a team, Saint Vincent averaged 185.5 in traditional games.
In Baker action, SVC had trouble as lane conditions broke down. In 20 Bakers, the Bearcats only topped the 200 mark twice, and averaged just 169.4.
Fekete topped the scoresheet in Bakers with a per-frame average of 18.33, a game equivalent of 183.3. Dunmire was second on the team at 18.12, while
Alex Colecchia finished at 17.47.
The Bearcats will return to action on Saturday, January 29, traveling to Columbus for the American Heartland Tournament.
