SVC opens season with 4th place finish


The Saint Vincent men's bowling team opened the 2022-23 season with a respectable fourth place finish among 15 teams in the Ohio Bowling Conference's first event of the year.

Sophomore Brandon Dunmire was named to the All-Tournament Team, finishing fourth overall among individuals with a four-game average of 202.  As a team, Saint Vincent averaged 181 in traditional games, 183 in Baker team games.

Dunmire had the highest individual game of the day, with a 255, while freshman James Gatto added a 223 game.  Gatto averaged 195 in traditional games in his first collegiate tournament. 

In Baker play, Dunmire again led the way, with a per-frame average of 21.97, a game equivalent of 219.7.  Junior Michael Fekete averaged 21.4 (214.0), while senior Eddie Zuzak averaged 19.2 (192.0).

Saint Vincent will be back in action on the weekend of October 8-9, traveling to Dayton, Ohio for the Orange & Black Tournament, hosted by Pikeville University.
