SVC finishes 14th in Roto Grip Raider Classic

INDIVIDUAL RESULTS

The Saint Vincent men's bowling team finished 14th among 26 schools competing in the Roto-Grip Raider Classic, hosted by Wright State University in Beavercreek, Ohio.
 
The Bearcats averaged 196 as a team on day one, settling in 10th place, but faded on day two with an average of 180 in Baker team games.  For the weekend, SVC averaged 187.7 over 41 games.
 
On Saturday, the weekend began with traditional games, and the Bearcats were led in game one by Michael Fekete (216) and Garrett Contee (211).  In game two, Eddie Zuzak posted a team high 235. 
 
In game three, Saint Vincent posted its best game of the weekend, shooting 1045 as a team, as Brandon Dunmire shot a 238, while James Gatto added a 237.  Zuzak (205) and Fekete (203) also broke the 200 barrier.
 
Contee led the way in game four, with a 236, while Fekete's 220 was tops in the final game of the day.
 
Dunmire led the team in average on day one, finishing 37th in the field of 227 bowlers, averaging 199.  Fekete was 48th, at 195.6, while Zuzak was 65th, at 189.2.  Contee and Gatto, who each bowled four of the five games, both averaged 194.5.
 
Saint Vincent will return to action on Saturday, November 19, traveling to Columbus, Ohio for the third Ohio Bowling Conference tournament of the season.
