LATROBE, Pa. (April 10) The Saint Vincent men's tennis team celebrated senior day with a 7-2 non-conference home win over Penn State-Behrend.
The Bearcats raced out to a 2-0 lead behind 8-0 and 8-1 wins at second and third doubles. David Lynn and Matthew Sadusky paired up to claim the final doubles point for SVC, 8-6, at the top flight.
In singles action Jack Citrone pushed the lead to 4-0 with a 6-4, 6-3 win at third singles. Josh Boland clinched the Bearcat victory with a straight sets win, 6-0, 6-1, at fourth singles. Also winning in straight sets for SVC were seniors Mauricio Sanchez and Aaron Kuhn, at second and fifth singles, respectively.
With the win Saint Vincent moves to 8-4 on the year. The Bearcats return to action on Wednesday, April 13, for a Presidents' Athletic Conference matchup against Westminster. The match will begin at 4:30 p.m. on the SVC courts.
