LATROBE, Pa. (April 20) The Saint Vincent men's tennis team took to the SVC courts and rolled to a 9-0 conference win over the Washington & Jefferson Presidents.
A blazing start in doubles saw the Bearcats up 3-0, highlighted by an 8-0 win at third doubles by
Mauricio Sanchez and
Aaron Kuhn.
David Lynn and
Josh Boland claimed an 8-2 win in the top spot and
Jon Oskin teamed up with
Matthew Sadusky for an 8-3 win at #2 doubles.
Lynn was the first off the courts in singles with a 6-0, 6-0 at first singles. Sanchez was next off, clinching the match with a 6-0, 6-0 win of his own at third singles. Oskin and
Evan Ray also won in straight sets without dropping a game at second and sixth singles, respectively. Sadusky doubled up his win in doubles with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at fourth singles, while
Jack Citrone secured a straight sets win of his own, 6-1, 6-1, at fifth singles.
The Bearcats advance to 10-4 (4-1 PAC) with the win and will return to action on Friday, April 22, for a matchup against PAC-leading Grove City. The match will start at 4 p.m. on the SVC courts.
