INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
The Saint Vincent Men's Bowling team opened the 2023-24 season with a sixth place finish among 19 teams in an Ohio Bowling Conference event held in Columbus.
The day started with five traditional games which were followed by 12 Baker team games. In individual play, SVC managed only five scores over the 200 mark, led by senior
Garrett Contee's 223 in game 2.
Alex Vickers (209, 203),
Michael Fekete (205), and
Dominick Spence (203) had the other high scores. Vickers finished 12th individually, while Contee was 13th.
In Baker play, Fekete led the way with a per frame average of 20.54, a game equivalent of 205.4, while
Brandon Dunmire averaged 20.39.
SVC spent most of the day between 4th and 6th place, ultimately finishing with a total of 6648 pins over 37 games, a team average of 179.6. The University of Northwestern Ohio won the team title, averaging 190.2.
Overall for the day, Dunmire led the way with an average of 189.0, followed by Fekete (186.7), Contee (185.8) and Vickers (181.9).
The Bearcats will return to Columbus on Saturday, October 21 for the second OBC event of the season.
