INDIVIDUAL RESULTS

The Saint Vincent men's bowling team finished fourth in a field of 16 teams in an American Heartland tournament held in Columbus, Ohio.
 
SVC was in second place early in the day, thanks to a strong start in Traditional games.
 
In the first game of the day, SVC shot a 969 game (193.8 average), led by senior Garrett Contee's 234 game.  The Bearcats stepped it up a bit in game two, breaking the 200-per-person barrier with a 1007 game.  Michael Fekete (233) and James Gatto (208) led the way.  Game three belonged to Contee, shooting a career-high 274 to lead the team to a 5-person total of 1101.  Fekete added his second-straight 233 game. 
 
In game four, SVC just missed the modern-day school record of 1137, shooting a team total of 1135.  Gatto led the way with a 257, while Nathan Horton stepped into the lineup for the first time this year and shot a 244 game.  Contee (227), Vickers (221) and Fekete (186) rounded out the scoring.  SVC finished traditional play with a 937, led by Fekete's 211.
 
Contee's five-game total of 1106, an average of 221.2 per game, placed him 8th overall in the field of 140 bowlers.  Fekete was 13th with a total of 1059 (211.8 average), while Gatto was 30th with a 203.8 average.  Horton bowled 4 games, averaging 203.5.

As a team, the Bearcats averaged 205.96 in Traditional play.  Over 12 Baker team games, Saint Vincent averaged 190.5. For the day, the Bearcat varsity averaged 200.9.
 
Ryan Schuck (182.6) and Ethan Dutka (182.2) led the Saint Vincent JV on the afternoon.
 
SVC will return to action on Saturday, November 18, traveling to Columbus for an Ohio Bowling Conference tournament.
