FINKSBURG, Md. (Apr. 1)- The Saint Vincent men's tennis team gritted out a 5-4 non-conference win over McDaniel, 5-4. 
 

Saint Vincent (4-3, 1-0 PAC) took a 2-0 lead in doubles with 8-2 wins at second and third doubles. The pairing of Jack Citrone and Evan Ray were first off the court at second doubles, followed shortly thereafter by Kyle Murray and Brian Lee at third. The Green Terror drew closer with an 8-4 win at the top doubles spot.

In singles action McDaniel (2-6) claimed the first point of singles with a win at sixth singles. Citrone gave the Bearcats the lead again with a 6-4, 6-3 win at third singles. Ray followed up a sensational early week win with another straight sets win, 6-1, 6-0 at fourth singles.

McDaniel pulled even in the match, 4-4, with wins at first and second singles. With the match on his racquet Murray was able to come away with his second consecutive match clinching win, a 6-3, 6-2 victory at fifth singles.
 

With the win the Bearcats sit at 4-3 on the year. SVC will be back in action on Tuesday, April 4 for a PAC road matchup with the Grove City Wolverines.
