NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (Apr. 12)- The Saint Vincent men's lacrosse picked up a big PAC win, defeating Westminster 10-5 on the road in New Wilmington, Pa.

After leading 4-2 at the half, the Bearcats used a six goal third quarter to lift them past the Titans to secure the conference win.

It was the Titans who got on the board first, scoring just under three minutes into the game on the man-up to take a 1-0 lead. The Bearcats answered back a little over three minutes later as Coholich notched his lone goal of the game to tie the game up at 1-1.

Just over one minute later, the Titans regained the lead as Brady Page scored to give Westminster a 2-1 lead. With four and a half minutes remaining in the quarter, Hawkins scored on an assist from Billet to tie the game up at 2-2 heading into the second quarter.

The second quarter was a very low scoring quarter as both defenses remained strong for the majority of the half. Visalli scored the only two goals of the quarter, one coming on an assist from Billet on the man up and the second coming unassisted as the Bearcats held a slight two goal lead heading into the half.

It was all Saint Vincent out of the half as the Bearcats outscored the Titans 6-0 in the third quarter. Visalli completed his hat trick, scoring on an assist from Hawkins and Nagy followed that up with a goal of his own also on assist from Hawkins as Saint Vincent led 6-2.

The Bearcats continued on the attack as Beard scored on an unassisted goal and Schuler followed that up with a goal of his own Billet's third assist of the game as Saint Vincent led 8-2 with 9:36 remaining in the quarter.

Cassidy scored the final two goals of the quarter for the Bearcats just over two minutes apart with one coming on an assist from Visalli, before Westminster scored the final goal of the quarter at the 3:50 mark to cut the Saint Vincent lead to 10-3 heading into the fourth.

Once again, the fourth quarter was low scoring. The Titans netted the lone two goals but it was too little too late at the Bearcats came away with the 10-5 win.
