DELAWARE, Ohio (Mar. 6)- The Saint Vincent men's lacrosse team was defeated on the road by Ohio Wesleyan, 14-3 in a non-conference game on Wednesday night.

Jordan Billet, Jacob Crumling, and Justin Wodarek all scored one goal apiece in the loss for the Bearcats (0-4). Wodarek also added an assist in the loss as well for Saint Vincent.
 
In goal, Garrett Ritts took the loss, recording ten saves.
 
Benjamin Wohlin and Hayden Nowotarski both scooped up three ground balls in the non-conference contest for SVC. Carter Haid, Colin Cooper, and RJ Kenna, along with Wodarek all recorded two ground balls each.

Caleb Hawkins, Bernard Farnan, along with Wohlin and Wodarek all picked up one caused turnover for the Bearcats. 
 
Ohio Wesleyan (2-2) outshot Saint Vincent by a 39-27 margin, while forcing 30 SVC turnovers. Saint Vincent also forced 28 Battling Bishop turnovers.
 
The Battling Bishops were led by Henry Ross and Wade Beckstrom who both scored three goals.
 
OWU scored five goals in both the first and second quarters, while allowing just one for the Bearcats as SVC trailed 10-1 at the half. The Bearcats defense was much better in the second half, but they were still outscored 4-2 in the half.
 
The Bearcats will return home for a non-conference matchup on Monday, March 11, as they take on North Central. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. at UPMC Field on Monday.
