STEUBENVILLE, Ohio (April 13) -- The Saint Vincent women's golf team had two of the top three finishers in its head-to-head matchup at Franciscan University, but the host Barons defeated the Bearcats by a score of 484-510 at a windswept Steubenville Country Club.
Freshman
Lucy Brayton paced Saint Vincent, and placed second overall, with a round of 102, while sophomore teammate
Kharisma Zylka carded a 107 to place third.
Rounding out the Saint Vincent foursome,
Charlotte Jordan turned in a score of 148, while
Lauren Turkovich finished at 153.
Franciscan's Molly McLean placed first at the event with a round of 92.
The Bearcats will now prep for the spring Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship, with the two-day event held at Mill Creek Country Club in Youngstown, Ohio, on Friday, April 19, and Saturday, April 20.Â
