LATROBE, Pa. (Apr. 26)- The Saint Vincent women's lacrosse team ended its season with a 20-5 defeat at the hands of Chatham under the lights at UPMC Field.

The Bearcats (2-12, 1-8 PAC) trailed the Cougars (9-7, 6-3 PAC) just 6-2 after the opening quarter. Saint Vincent was outscored 14-3 over the rest of the contest.

Bailey Nicely and
Lena Coyne led the way for Saint Vincent with two goals each, while
Madison Weber also scored once as well.

Kyra Lipetzky took the loss in net, making 10 saves.
Gabby Salandro and
Kloe Templeton both scooped up two ground balls, while Salandro also caused one turnover too.

Alexandria Votovich recorded two CT's as well for SVC.

Chatham outshot Saint Vincent by a 36-13 margin. The Bearcats had 22 turnovers, while forcing 16 Cougar turnovers as well.

The Cougars were a strong 13-15 on clears, while Saint Vincent went 14-23 on clear attempts.

The end of the season also marks the end of the outstanding coaching career of Saint Vincent legendary head coach
Jym Walters, who announced he would be stepping away from the lacrosse field at the end of the year. Walters closed his coaching career with a 106-82 record over his 12-year tenure, earning two Coach of the Year honors.Â
