Five Bearcats land CSC Academic All-District track/cross country honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. (June 18) – Five members of the Saint Vincent College track and field and cross country program have been named Academic All-District™ by the College Sports Communicators (CSC).

Senior Lauren Brennan (Saint Leonard, Md./Calvert), juniors Aiden Jackson (Carroll, Ohio/William V. Fisher) and John Syms (Plains, Pa./Coughlin) and sophomores Miranda Cincotta (Emmittsburg, Md./St. John's Catholic Prep) and Kristen Prince (Prince Frederick, Md./Calvert) all earned Academic All-District™ honors for the 2023-24 season, which recognizes standout student-athletes of at least sophomore academic standing who hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher.

Brennan turned in a solid senior season both on the cross country course and the track. In the fall, she turned in a pair of top-15 finishes, as she placed seventh at the Thiel Tomcat Rumble and 15th at the Presidents' Athletic Conference Cross Country Championship, before finishing 41st at the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship. During the track and field season, Brennan specialized in the 5,000-meter run, earning a sixth-place finish at the Westminster Invitational and landing a spot on the podium with a seventh-place finish at the PAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, while she set a program record with a time of 11:03.30 in the 3,000-meter run at the Westminster Invitational. An early childhood education major and perennial honor student, Brennan served as vice president of the Saint Vincent College chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, the national education honor society, was a Fred Rogers Scholar and was awarded Saint Vincent College's William Rafferty Award for academic and athletic excellence.
