INDIVIDUAL RESULTS - COLLEGIATE SHOOT-OUT
The Saint Vincent College men's bowling team made its cross-country trip to Las Vegas, Nevada for a pair of tournaments. The team placed 31st out of 55 schools at the Glenn Carlson Las Vegas Invitational, then finished 45th out of 55 schools in the Collegiate Shoot-Out.
The format for the Glenn Carlson Invitational was eight traditional team games separated into two days, and cutting to the top 16 schools.
Leading the way for the Bearcats was senior
Brandon Dunmire who placed 26th overall shooting 1,672 pins (209 average) for 8 games. Also leading the way was freshman
Michael Mullaney who placed 86th overall shooting 1,521 pins (190.1 average).
The high mark of the tournament was the Bearcats shooting a 1,047 game 4, led by sophomore
Ryan Schuck with a 268 game, with Dunmire adding a 253.
The format for the Collegiate Shoot-Out was five traditional team games, and 16 Baker games split up into two days, and cutting to the top 8 schools.
Leading the way again for SVC was Dunmire who placed 101st overall shooting 990 pins (198 average, 5 games), followed by Mullaney's 943 (188.6 average), which placed him 147th overall.
On the JV side for the Bearcats in the Collegiate Shoot-Out finished 8th out of 16 schools. Senior
Ethan Dutka put up a career best shooting 1041 (208.2 average) for five games and finished 6th overall in the JV division. Also, freshmen
Jeremy Phillips and
Michael Marts placed in the top 30 (Phillips – 190.6, Marts – 183.2).
The Bearcats will be back in action on January 11-12, hosting the Greater Pittsburgh Collegiate Classic, and the Western PA Baker Shootout at Hillview Lanes in Greensburg.
