Women's soccer defeats Hiram on the road

HIRAM, Ohio (Oct. 4)- The Saint Vincent women's soccer team shut out Hiram by a final score of 3-0 in a Presidents Athletic Conference win on Saturday night.

The Bearcats (9-1-1, 3-0-1 PAC) scored one in the first and two in the second half to down the Terriers.

Lexi Graham, Jordan Kirkwood, and Bella Meder were the three Saint Vincent goal scorers. Addie Fisher and Emma Koller picked up assists in the win.

Rilyn Warner earned the shut out victory in net, making three saves for SVC. 

Graham got the Bearcats on the board with a goal in the 13th minute to give SVC a 1-0 lead. That 1-0 lead would hold until the half.

Saint Vincent added two more in the second half. First, Kirkwood scored her fourth of the season in the 58th minute on an assist from Fisher. Meder followed with a goal on an assist from Koller in the 71st minute to solidify the 3-0 victory for Saint Vincent.

Saint Vincent outshot Hiram 17-3 and 8-3 in shots on goal. Corner kicks were 8-1 in favor of the Bearcats as well.

The Bearcats return to action on Tuesday, October 7 with a home matchup against Geneva. The game is scheduled to beginat 7 p.m. on Tuesday night at UPMC Field.
