LATROBE, Pa. (Nov. 15)- The Saint Vincent College football team fell behind early and was unable to recover on Saturday afternoon, dropping a Presidents' Athletic Conference matchup to Westminster by a 57–14 final at Chuck Noll Field in the 2025 season finale.
Westminster (7–3, 6–2 PAC) set the tone from the opening drive, piecing together an 11-play, 48-yard march capped by a one-yard touchdown run from Demere White to take a 7–0 lead midway through the first quarter.
Saint Vincent (2–8, 1–7 PAC) looked to settle in defensively, but Westminster broke the game open in the second quarter, erupting for 34 unanswered points. The frame included several explosive plays, highlighted by a 65-yard touchdown strike from Quentin Goode to Brite Cannon and an interception returned for a score, sending the Bearcats into the locker room trailing 34–0.
The Westminster offense continued to control possession throughout the afternoon, finishing with 379 total yards while holding the ball for more than 35 minutes. Saint Vincent, meanwhile, totaled 208 yards of offense and converted 2-of-11 third-down attempts, though the Bearcats did take advantage of their lone fourth-down try. Both teams finished with two turnovers.
The Bearcats broke through late in the third quarter when
Julian Walker provided one of the day's bright spots, slicing through the defense for a 25-yard touchdown run with 1:28 remaining in the period to make it 47–7. Walker finished with 65 rushing yards on 10 carries to lead the ground attack. In the fourth, Saint Vincent added another scoring drive as quarterback
Stevie Oursler — who completed 4-of-5 passes for 55 yards — connected with
Chris Downs for a 17-yard touchdown. Downs ended the afternoon with two receptions for 26 yards.
Defensively, senior
Keegan O'Brien anchored the unit with a game-high 11 tackles, including six solo stops, while linebacker
Nathan Parker added nine tackles as the Bearcats attempted to slow a Westminster offense that remained efficient into the closing minutes. The Titans added a 26-yard field goal, and an 11-yard touchdown pass in the fourth to close the scoring.
Saint Vincent finishes the season 2-8 overall and 1-7 in PAC play.
